On September 11, 2025, the GEI-Consultants authoritatively released the 2025 "Future Stars of Sci-Tech Innovation" list, revealing new phenomena and trends in the development of China's future sci-tech innovation enterprises. Recommended for evaluation by the municipal science and technology authorities, Caremo successfully made the list thanks to its professional pre-clinical drug research service platform.

GEI-Consultants gathered nearly one hundred of the nation's leading investment and incubation institutions for tech-based enterprises to recommend candidates, which were then filtered through expert review. In 2025, a total of 80 enterprises were named Future Stars of Sci-Tech Innovation. Beijing and Jiangsu each have 21 companies, tying for first place nationally. Among them, Nanjing has 7 companies, ranking third nationwide.

I. 80 Enterprises Selected Nationwide——Demonstrating High-Value Potential

Enterprise value not yet fully recognized. Most are in the seed or start-up stage, with over 90% at Series A funding or earlier.

Exhibiting strong capital attractiveness. All 80 enterprises have secured financing, with cumulative funding exceeding RMB 10 billion. The average funding per enterprise is RMB 150 million, and the highest single-enterprise funding reached RMB 1.6 billion.

Gaining favor from top investment institutions. The 80 enterprises attracted investments from over 400 investment institutions. Among them, Tsinghua Alumni Seed Fund, CAS Star, Cooperative Holdings, MiraclePlus, ZGC Development Shihang Industrial Investment Fund, and HongShan (Sequoia China) participated in investments in 5 or more companies. Nearly half of the institutions that invested in 3 or more enterprises have state-owned backgrounds.

The 80 enterprises are distributed across 10 major fields, including AI & Robotics, Innovative Drugs, and Innovative Medical Devices (enterprises in these three fields account for 53.8% of the total).

Future Stars of Sci-Tech Innovation enterprises are actively exploring innovation in 35 sectors, including embodied AI, implantable/interventional devices, commercial satellites, new drug R&D service platforms, chips, large models, small nucleic acid drugs, brain-computer interfaces, and imaging diagnostics. Among them, the embodied AI sector has over 10 enterprises, while the new drug R&D service platform, implantable/interventional devices, chips, and commercial satellite sectors each have 4 or more enterprises. They are making novel explorations in future industry directions such as flexible brain-computer interfaces, building-block-style large model inference computing chips, electronic skin tactile perception systems, DEL live cell screening technology, and controllable nuclear fusion.
